This journal was created to help raise funds for Team Awesome with Walk Now for Autism. The money raised will be donated to the walk-a-thon to be held on June 20th, 2010 at Nathan Philips Square in Toronto, Ontario.
So here's how this is going to work. For a $10 donation to Team Awesome, I will write at least 100 words about a topic of your choosing. If I don't know about it, I will research it! If I get volunteer writers, I will possibly pass it on to one of them, so we all have posts to write. I will personally write at least 24 blog posts, potentially more!
At least one post will be about my daughter and what it's like being the mother of a child with autism. The ups and down. (This one may well be written in advance, and may be long!) Once an hour, blog posts will be posted to this journal with the name of the donor posted in the subject line.
In order for this to work, all donations and subsequent emails need to be in by May 15th so that I have time to sort them out and make a plan of attack on Saturday.
